See this lady playing the Doc's new companion in season five? Yeah, she went to the same school as my friend and lived about an hours drive from me so naturally the Highlands (being small and a bit like Craggy Island) are very proud of her, and so we should be, I am happy that someone from such a small place can be cast in a program as big as DW now is, very happy and excited. I hope her and Matt Smith get on really well and they have good chemistry....

I just hope agaisnt hope that there isn't another Doctor/Companion romance or Martha situation in the works because I REALLY want to like this new companion.

Rose was long enough after Sarah Jane and Romana that she could work, Martha got dull fast, Donna was perfection, and River Song was okay. OKAY, not great, not particularly interesting but okay. I hear she may be appearing in this next series, I don't mind this so much as they may be able to develop her a bit more but if they strike up a romance with new companion, Miss Pond, or if she's his daughter or auntie or half-sister or lovechild, so help me god I am going to scream!

It's okay to flirt, or hint at a relationship and never fullfil it! They can have the odd throwaway comment but stop with the blimmin' romantic angst, I've just left Highschool and I feel like I'm watching it on repeat....in space-which is admittedly alot cooler...
